What’s Private Label Rights?
Private Label Rights (PLR) products are products that you are allowed to put your name on as the author and sell as your own. PLR content can be found in many forms:
- articles
- prewritten newsletters or ezines
- small reports
- full length ebooks
- ebooks
- audio
- videos
- website templates
just to name a few.
Once you bought a PLR product, it’s yours and you have the permission to do whatever you want with it. You could actually profit from it and not be liable for any copyright infringement.
For example:
Let’s say you were able to acquire private label rights for a particular topic with 25 articles. What can you do?
You can combine them and package it as an ebook, which you then can sell. Or you can publish the private label articles in you niche blog. You can submit the articles to articles’ directories to support you own niche blog or the product you are selling.
You can change the material’s content by adding or removing details. You can add pictures as well as other media like sound or video clips.
You can also :
- Give the material away unaltered (depending on the PLR terms and conditions)
- Combine the material with others
- Give the material away as a bonus item
- Divide the product into separate articles
The options are limitless. It is entirely possible to come up with a whole new set of products from a single material source.
All of these actions are possible but the best part about private label rights is that you can claim the material as yours by putting your name as the author of the material. You are not obligated to mention the original author (or pay them any royalties) for the changes you have done.
That’s right, with PLR’s you are actually given permission to sign and even change another person’s work.
